Development history of Chaotianding

In 2008, we changed our production model and began to harvest spring tea from our own tea garden in Chaotian Peak. We followed ancient methods and conducted baking treatment after autumn. We used pottery jars from Guizheng Mountain for storage, and only after the quality of the tea was stable did we start selling it

In 2010, we established a complete production and sales chain of "spring picking and autumn baking + Guizheng Mountain clay pot storage + Guanchaoting trademark", and declared our aspiration to move higher and pursue the high quality of Lingtou tea products

In 2011, we successfully registered the trademark of "Chaotian Ding" as our brand name

The "Chaotianding" trademark officially obtained the national trademark registration certificate in 2012

It is a natural choice and a solemn promise we make to the Three Mountains King and the Three Mountains Empress

At the end of 2013, we exchanged contracts with the village collective to lease the best 1.2 plots of land behind the tea pavilion in Lingtou Village. With over 30 years of tea age and more than 40 tea trees, we laid the foundation for building an organic tea garden in Chaotianding

In early 2014, leaders and experts from the Agricultural Bureau of Chaozhou City, Raoping County, and the Tea Industry Association went deep into the tea area to provide technical guidance to tea farmers

Experts point out that when "sun drying" or "making" tea leaves on rainy days, they can be placed indoors in a well ventilated area. Artificial air blowing, lighting, and charcoal furnace heating can be used instead of sunlight, and dehumidifiers or air conditioners can be used to reduce indoor air humidity and accelerate the loss of moisture from tea leaves. This can also ensure the quality of tea

This promotes the transformation of tea making technology from ancient methods to modern science in Chaotianding

In 2013, Chaotianding launched the "bubble wrap" model to tackle the traditional "six cent one bubble tea paper wrap" problem. The traditional half pound paper wrap wooden mold was compressed into a bubble wrap wooden mold, which is both traditional and easy to move nostalgic people, as well as environmentally friendly, hygienic, and safe

Since then, kraft paper tea bags have become the flexible packaging mode for Chaotianding Spring Tea, and unique small tea paper bags and theoretical foundations have also been developed

As early as 2009, Chaotianding boldly proposed the idea of using Lingtou single bundle tea to make Lingtou black tea

In early 2014, with the support and guidance of Professor Zheng Yongqiu and Associate Professor Wu Xiyue from Guangdong Agricultural University, who came to the village to guide the production of spring tea, and together with two other tea farmers in the village, they tried to make about 20 pounds of black tea from spring tea and gained recognition from everyone

From then on, Chaotianding brand Lingtou black tea began to enter the market

As early as 2009, considering the practical consideration that tea and bees are in the same ecological chain in nature, Chaotianding called on villagers to protect the original ecological environment of Lingtou Village, ensure the purity of Lingtou tea, and safeguard the lifeline of tea farmers in Lingtou Village, in order to care for and protect local wasps

Since 2009, we have been purchasing the second season of winter honey every year and storing it in glass bottles along with tea, naming it Chaotianding brand Camellia Honey

From then on, Chaotianding brand Camellia Honey began to enter the market

The conceptual tone of Chaotianding brand tea packaging is "more environmentally friendly, less wasteful, distinctive, and suitable for consumption"

In mid-2016, after years of polishing, Chaotianding finally had its first fully designed tea packaging

Preface to Tea Packaging: Lingtou Dancong is the dominant type of oolong tea, with its unique honey flavor and resistance to brewing. The highest point in Lingtou Village is called Chaotianding, with an altitude of nearly one kilometer, and its tea quality is better. Our tea brand uses its spring tea and follows the ancient method of canning for more than two years

In order to solve the problem of "how to store tea well and ensure its stable quality", Chaotianding has made a breakthrough by using Guangdong Province's intangible cultural heritage - Guizheng Mountain Tea Treasure Brand pottery jars to solve the storage difficulties. The jar body is painted with the scenery of Chaotianding in Lingtou Village, and bears the Chaotianding trademark and Guizheng Mountain logo

Chaotianding insists on creating a physically stable warehouse according to science to store tea cans, ensuring stable tea quality. The tea cellar is located on the second floor, with low humidity and easy handling and management. It is surrounded by partitions to avoid direct sunlight, and the temperature is relatively stable at the optimal storage temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius. The shelves are made of Burmese teak wood, which is odorless

In 2018, Lingxiang Tea Cooperative was established, and we shared this unique charm of Lingtou Dancong with more like-minded tea friends

At the beginning of January 2024, we formulated the "Plan for Transforming Chaotianding's Own Tea Plantation into an Organic Tea Plantation", striving to obtain certification from an organic certification agency within three years (2024-2027)

After the spring tea harvest in 2024, we began planning to establish the Lingxiang "Chaotianding" Tea Culture Garden Exhibition Hall to accumulate cultural strength for the development of the Lingtou tea industry
