Lingtou Village has a long history of tea production and is rich in Dancong tea. Hundreds of years ago, it was famous for producing Qilan. It has a unique cultivation and production process, and its varieties include Lingtou Dancong and Lingtou Qilan.
Lingtou Dancong is the dominant one among oolong teas, with unique honey flavor and good resistance to brewing. The tea leaves are green-yellow in color, heavy and even, with a tight and strong appearance, yellow-brown and oily color, rich and sweet taste, strong aftertaste, unique micro-flower fragrance, and bright orange-yellow soup color. The black tea and green tea have a strong taste, a strong aroma, and a special fragrance.
Lingtou Qilan, commonly known as Qiao Oolong, belongs to the rock tea category. The leaves are green and slightly yellow, with red edges and white belly. The finished product is slender and heavy, with small and narrow leaf stalks, yellow-green color, black and shiny, and oily; the aroma is mellow, like orchid, the taste is mellow and slightly thick, sweet and fresh, and resistant to brewing; the main veins of the leaf are slightly white, the leaf body is angular and shiny, and the soup is clear yellow or golden yellow.
The highest point of Lingtou Village is called Chaotianding, which is nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountains and clouds. The environment here provides tea trees with unparalleled growth conditions, making the quality and flavor of Lingtou Dancong very overbearing.
The "Chaotianding" brand products are the works of Mr. Xu Yaowei, a senior tea taster from Lingtou Village.
In 2008, Xu Qiangguo, an old tea farmer in Lingtou Village, and his son Xu Yaowei changed their production model and adopted Chaotianding's four characteristics + three chains tea-making modelfor production, and only put the tea on the market after its quality was stable.
In 2011, we successfully registered the trademark "Chaotianding" as our brand name, and have been using it for 13 years.
Chaotianding has made a breakthrough by using Guangdong Province's intangible cultural heritage - Guizheng Mountain Chabao brand pottery jars to solve the storage problem, storing the tea well and ensuring its stable quality.
The Puning Guizheng Mountain tea pottery jar is a legendary traditional tea storage utensil with various styles and specifications, and the body of the jar is painted with patterns such as green grass and mountains and waters. It is in the shape of a cone, with a thin bottom, wide shoulders, long neck, and a flat round top. It contains a double-layer lid with inner and outer ring walls in the lid, and the inner ring is tightly closed to the mouth of the jar. The lid is loose but not airtight. It can store tea for ten to thirty years without deterioration, and the tea has the effects of clearing away heat and relieving summer heat.
The pottery jars are stored in the tea cellar of Chaotianding Tea House. The humidity in the tea cellar is not high, making it easy to carry and manage. Partitions are built on all sides to prevent direct sunlight, and the temperature is relatively stable in the best storage environment for Dancong tea (20-25 degrees).
